Brief Biography:
Dr. Richard Alan Rison is a board certified neurologist with additional subspecialty board certification in vascular neurology, neurocritical care, and electrodiagnostic and neuromuscular medicine. He began group practice in Whittier, California in 2000, subsequently became the Stroke Medical Director in 2005 for Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital and also serves as a voluntary attending at the University of Southern California-Keck School of Medicine-Los Angeles County Medical Center where he holds the title of Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology. Areas of professional interest include general clinical neurology along with cerebrovascular disease, critical care neurology, and neuromuscular disease. He is a member of various professional societies including the American Academy of Neurology, the American Heart Association-American Stroke Association, the Neurocritical Care Society, the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and is a former president of the Los Angeles Neurological Society. He also serves as Deputy Editor for Journal of Medical Case Reports and Associate Neurology Editor for Case Reports in Neurology and Grand Rounds.
